Your privacy is important to us. It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our app, Renee's Studio. The app is provided by Renee Walden and developed by David Walden at Shush Creative.
Information we collect
We collect very little. Our servers automatically record technical details when the app loads content, such as your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address and basic device and operating system information. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics tools, and we do not track what you do in the app. If you join our newsletter, we also collect your first name and email address (see "Newsletter" below).
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.
How we use your information
The information we collect is used to deliver the content in our app, to keep our servers secure and running properly, to respond to your requests and inquiries, and, if you join our newsletter, to send it to you. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone else, except for the service providers described below, or if law enforcement agencies demand such information.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers to host the app's content, protect our servers and send email. They may process your information on our behalf, only to provide those services to us, and not for their own purposes.
Vimeo
The lessons in our app are videos hosted by Vimeo. When you watch a video, Vimeo may collect information from you, such as your IP address and details about your device, in line with its own terms and privacy policy.
We do not control Vimeo's privacy practices. We encourage you to review Vimeo's terms of service at https://vimeo.com/terms and its privacy policy at https://vimeo.com/privacy before using our Service.
Newsletter
You can choose to join Renee's newsletter from within the app. If you do, we collect your first name and email address, and we also record the approximate country you are in (worked out from your IP address), the date, and that you joined through the app.
We use this information only to send you the newsletter, which contains news from the studio, new lessons, and painting tips. Joining is optional and has no effect on your access to the app or its lessons.
Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link. You can use it at any time to stop receiving the newsletter. You can also ask us to delete the information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your newsletter details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You can ask us at any time to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy was first published on 05 August 2023 and was last updated on 15 October 2026. It will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
